KEPENTINGAN ETHIOPIA BERGABUNG DALAM KEANGGOTAAN BRAZIL, RUSSIA, INDIA, CHINA, DAN SOUTH AFRICA (BRICS ) TAHUN 2023

Abstract
Penelitian in membahas mengenai kepentingan nasional Ethiopia bergabung dalam keanggotaan BRICS tahun 2023, yang memiliki fokus pada urgensi dari keanggotaan Ethiopia dalam BRICS di tengah adanya sanksi barat, dan keragaman kebijakan luar negeri juga konflik internal negara anggota BRICS. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif eksplanatif dengan dara sekunder dan primer. Berdasarkan teori kepentingan nasional Donald E. Nuechterlein, penelitian ini menghasilkan adanya tiga kepentingan dasar Ethiopia, yakni kepentingan pertahanan dengan intensitas vital issues, kepentingan ekonomi dengan intensitas major issues, dan tata dunia dengan intensitas vital issues, sementara untuk kepentingan ideologi bukan merupakan kepentingan Ethiopia dalam BRICS sehingga dalam intensitas ringat atau pheriperal issues, karena hal tersebut bersangkutan dengan nilai yang diyakini Ethiopia sendiri. Ketiga kepentingan tersebut menjadi urgensi Ethiopia mengenai keanggotannya dalam BRICS yang juga untuk mendiversifikasi dari negara barat, dan memanfaatkan ruang dialog antara dua pola besar.
