PENGARUH DEFENCE INDUSTRY COOPERATION MEETING (DICM) INDONESIA – TURKI TERHADAP PERKEMBANGAN INDUSTRI PERTAHANAN INDONESIA TAHUN 2019 – 2022
Abstract
This study examines the impact of the Defence Industry Cooperation Meeting (DICM) between Indonesia and Turkey on the development of Indonesia's defense industry from 2019 to 2022. Managed by the Ministries of Defense of both countries, DICM serves as a strategic platform to enhance cooperation in defense technology and industry. This research evaluates the effects of these meetings on the advancement of Indonesia's defense sector, focusing on technology transfer, joint project collaborations, and capacity building. By analyzing the outcomes of DICM sessions, this study assesses the tangible contributions of bilateral cooperation to strengthening Indonesia’s national defense capabilities. It highlights how advanced technologies from Turkey and investments in joint ventures can accelerate the development of Indonesia's defense industry, reduce dependence on imports, and enhance domestic production capabilities. The research employs a qualitative approach, utilizing data from official documentation and DICM meeting reports to provide a comprehensive overview of the impacts and benefits of this collaboration.
