ANALISIS TATA KELOLA RUANG TERBUKA HIJAU TERHADAP PEMBANGUNAN KOTA DI KABUPATEN BANDUNG BARAT

Abstract

This study examines the governance of Green Open Space (RTH) management and its implications for sustainable urban development in Bandung Barat Regency. RTH plays a strategic role in maintaining ecological balance, supporting social well-being, and enhancing urban aesthetics. The research aims to analyze how local government implements policies related to RTH, identify obstacles that hinder effective governance, and assess efforts to improve its implementation. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through interviews with officials from the Environment Agency, spatial planning authorities, and community representatives, supported by field observation and documentation. The findings reveal that the implementation of RTH governance in Bandung Barat has not been fully optimal. Several constraints are identified, including limited funding, weak inter-agency coordination, and low public participation. However, the local government has made efforts to strengthen institutional capacity and integrate RTH management into regional planning policies. The study concludes that improving collaboration between government, private sectors, and communities is essential for realizing effective and sustainable RTH governance as a core component of regional development.
