PENGARUH PEMBANGUNAN BANDARA INTERNASIONAL JAWA BARAT KERTAJATI TERHADAP PENINGKATAN PENDAPATAN ASLI DAERAH DI KABUPATEN MAJALENGKA

Abstract

This study examines the influence of the construction of the West Java International Airport (Bandara Internasional Jawa Barat – BIJB) Kertajati on the increase in Local Own-Source Revenue (Pendapatan Asli Daerah – PAD) of Majalengka Regency. Using a quantitative descriptive-verificative approach, the study aims to measure the relationship between the airport’s development and local economic performance through several independent variables, including passenger volume, flight intensity, investment growth, and supporting infrastructure development. Data were collected through documentation, literature review, and statistical analysis using multiple linear regression. The results indicate that BIJB Kertajati has a significant positive effect on the increase of PAD, especially in regional tax revenues and retributions. The regression test shows that 95.5% of the variation in PAD can be explained by BIJB development, while the remaining 4.5% is influenced by other factors. The findings reveal that the airport’s operation stimulates regional economic activities, attracts new investments, and encourages infrastructure expansion. Theoretically, this study strengthens the concept of regional economic linkage, where large-scale infrastructure acts as a growth pole. Practically, it emphasizes the importance of policy synergy between central and regional governments in maximizing BIJB’s role as a driver of Majalengka’s sustainable fiscal growth.
