Open Access Policy
This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. All articles published Open Access will be immediately and permanently free for everyone to read and download. We are continuously working with our author communities to select the best choice of license options, Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0).
Archiving
This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration.
Plagiarism Check
Articles submitted to Jurnal Dialektika Hukum will be filtered first to avoid plagiarism using Plagiarism Checker Software and Google-based search engines. The decision on the manuscript for the next process depends very much on the level of originality and the level of similarity of the articles received with other previously published articles.
Publication Ethics
Jurnal Dialektika Hukum adheres to the ethical guidelines for journal publications put forth by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
Ethical Guideline for Journal Publication
The publication of an article in a peer-reviewed Jurnal Dialektika Hukum journal is an essential in the developing of a respected network of knowledge. It is a reflection of the quality of the journal and the institutions. Peer-reviewed articles manages the scientific method. So, it is important to agree upon standards of ethical behavior for all parties involved in the journal publishing process: the author, the journal editor, the reviewers, the publisher and the society.
Publication decisions
The editor board of the Jurnal Dialektika Hukum journal is responsible in deciding which are articles should be published. The reserachers and readers must respect the decision of the editorial board. The editors should be guided by the policies of the journal's editorial board.
Fair play
Editors are evaluating articles content without regard to gender, race, religious belief, ethnic origin, citizenship sexual orientation, or political philosophy of the authors.
Confidentiality
The editor and editorial staffs must confidentialy any information about a submitted articles to anyone other.

Unpublished articles must not be used in an editor's own research without the permissions of the authors.
Peer Review Process
Editing Process
Every manuscript sent to the editorial team of Dialektika Hukum is managed through the following process:
Initial screening
The Editor in Chief or Editorial Board Member will first screen the suitability of the manuscript to continue the editing process or not. Initial screening here includes: suitability of the manuscript to the scope of the journal; suitability of the manuscript to the Focus and Scope of the Journal, and Author Guidelines; similarity of the manuscript to other articles or publication materials. If the manuscript is considered "not suitable for continuing the editing process", the manuscript is returned to the author to be adjusted to the style of the environment or the authorship rights are resubmitted (rejected). In the case of a manuscript being deemed "worthy of continuing the editing process.
Editing
The Editor in Chief or Editorial Board Member edits the manuscript to be more in line with the journal's style. Editing here includes: manuscript format (template); citations and references; word choice. Therefore, the editor not only corrects the letters and footnotes-bibliography, but can also make insignificant improvements to the title and description of the manuscript to be more in line with the journal's style. All these changes are communicated to the editor-in-chief or editorial board member and author, to get a reciprocal response. The manuscript that has been edited is then worthy of the next process.
Substantial review
The Editor in Chief or Editorial Board Member sends the manuscript that has been edited to one of the competent Reviewers in their field to be reviewed for substance, by first removing the author's identity and affiliation. In general, the manuscript will be reviewed by one Reviewer. However, in the case where the manuscript covers more than one legal field, for example regarding "Criminal liability in land burning", the manuscript is sent to two Reviewers in two related fields, namely criminal law and environmental law. Review of the substance by Reviewers is carried out by filling out a form prepared by the editor and/or providing notes (comments) on the reviewed manuscript. The results of the Reviewers' review include: "manuscript accepted"; "manuscript accepted with minor improvements"; "manuscript accepted with major improvements"; or "manuscript rejected", accompanied by notes and reasons.
Revision
The Editor in Chief or Editorial Board Member conveys the results of the reviewer's review of the manuscript to the author by first removing the reviewer's identity. The revision process by the author here can be more than once, according to the assessment of the Editor in Chief or Editorial Board Member whether the revised manuscript has accommodated the notes of the reviewers and the Editor in Chief or Editorial Board Member.
Final decision
The Editor in Chief makes the final decision whether a revised manuscript or in the case of a manuscript being declared accepted by the reviewers, can be published or not. In the case of a manuscript "accepted for publication", the manuscript undergoes a proof-reading process for writing and choice of words, sentences, paragraphs, and references. The process of changing words, sentences, paragraphs, and references can continue until the manuscript is published, provided that the various changes are communicated to the author. In the case of a manuscript "not accepted for publication", the Editor in Chief returns the manuscript and its authorship rights to the author.
Published
Manuscripts accepted for publication are collected until the number of articles in one issue or edition is fulfilled, which is a minimum of five articles resulting from research or legal studies. The articles collected in one issue or edition are then published online and in print.

Costs charged to the author by Jurnal Dialektika Hukum:
Article Submission fee: IDR 0, - (no fees)
Article Processing fee: IDR 0, - (no fees)
Online Journal publishing fee: IDR 0, - (no fees)
Under these conditions, Jurnal Dialektika Hukum also provides assistance to authors from developing countries because it does not require any costs for the process of publishing online journals.
