PERAN UNION INTERNATIONALE MOTONAUTIQUE DALAM MENINGKATKAN WISATAWAN ASING DI INDONESIA PERIODE 2019-2023

Abstract

The issue of the Covid-19 pandemic has caused many losses to the international world, especially in terms of reduced tourist visitors in some countries, causing a decrease in a country's foreign exchange. Indonesia is currently aggressively increasing its foreign tourists by implementing several strategies, one of which is through an international organization carried out by the Union Internationale Motonautique (UIM). UIM is an organization that regulates all boating activities, UIM is tasked with protecting and building the future of Sports on behalf of its national federations and competitors and is responsible for creating a world-famous sport that is safe, accessible, integrated and developing. UIM makes Indonesia the host of F1 Power Boat in the Lake Toba area in 2023, which is indirectly expected to play a role in increasing the number of foreign tourists visiting Indonesia. This study aims to analyze the role of international organizations carried out by the Union Internationale Motonautique (UIM) in increasing foreign tourists in Indonesia. The research method used in this study is qualitative research because this study produces descriptive data in the form of written or spoken words from several trusted sources.
