PARTISIPASI GENERASI MILENIAL DALAM MENGAWASI TAHAPAN PEMILIHAN UMUM 2024
Abstract
This study examines the participation of the millennial generation in election supervision as an effort to strengthen democratic governance in Indonesia. The complexity of electoral stages requires active public involvement to ensure transparency, accountability, and integrity of the democratic process. This study aims to analyze the forms, roles, and challenges of millennial participation in election supervision. A descriptive qualitative method with a literature review approach was employed, drawing on books, regulations, and scholarly journal articles published within the last ten years. The findings indicate that millennials play a strategic role as participatory supervisors by utilizing social media and digital platforms to monitor electoral stages and report potential violations. Such participation enhances public oversight of election administration, although it is constrained by limited electoral literacy, institutional capacity, and public trust in political institutions. This study concludes that strengthening political literacy and institutional support is essential to optimize millennial participation in achieving accountable and democratic electoral governance.
