Abstract
This study discusses the inhibiting factors of FIFA (Federation Internationale de Football Association) in suspending the membership of IFA (Israel Football Association) related to the Gaza conflict in 2023-2024. FIFA has an important role in maintaining the integrity and neutrality of international football sports. The purpose of this study is to analyze internal factors within FIFA. This study uses a qualitative research method with an explanatory analysis research type. This study is explained using the concept of rationalization of irrationality and universalization of bureaucracy. The results of the study indicate that there are two main inhibiting factors for FIFA in suspending IFA membership, namely financial considerations through major partners and the first cycle of revenue in 2023-2024 which is increasing and the principle of political neutrality in sports which is applied inconsistently through double standards and decisions based on institutional interests.
