KERJA SAMA NORWEGIA-INDONESIA DALAM DEFORESTASI HUTAN DI INDONESIA MELALUI SKEMA REDD+ PERIODE 2017-2021
Abstract
This study examines Indonesia–Norway cooperation in the Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation (REDD+) scheme during 2017–2021 in Central Kalimantan. Using a descriptive-qualitative method through policy document and literature analysis, the study finds that the cooperation contributed to reducing deforestation and resulted in Norway’s first result-based payment in 2020. However, REDD+ implementation still faces challenges such as weak governance, limited coordination, and insufficient community involvement. It concludes that this cooperation represents an important model of environmental diplomacy, yet its sustainability depends on consistent national policies and local participation.
