KEPENTINGAN NASIONAL INDONESIA DALAM PENGADAAN PESAWAT TEMPUR DASSAULT RAFALE DARI PRANCIS TAHUN 2020-2024

Abstract

The fulfillment of the Minimum Essential Force (MEF) has not been fully achieved so that Indonesia cooperates with France to procure Dassault Rafale fighter aircraft in order to fulfill MEF. This research was conducted with a qualitative approach using descriptive research using the theory of neorealism and national interests according to KJ. Holsti which is divided into three, namely, Core Values, Middle Range, and Long Range. First, core values as part of the fulfillment of the Minimum Essential Force (MEF) to strengthen border defenses such as in the North Natuna Sea. Second, middle range to encourage the independence of the defense industry through a transfer of technology program with France. Third, long range to strengthen bilateral relations with France and open up opportunities for other countries to participate in maintaining peace through diplomacy and cooperation as carried out by Indonesia and France.
