Abstract

This article analyzes the collaboration between the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) has developed and continued over the past two decades. One example of their collaboration is in addressing human rights violations in Afghanistan from 2021 to 2023, where their response intensified due to the Taliban's takeover of power in 2021. The research method used in this study is qualitative, employing a case study approach, along with document and literature analysis, utilizing interview techniques for data collection. This study aims to analyze the form of collaboration between the OIC and UNHCR in addressing human rights violations in Afghanistan from 2021 to 2023. The results of this study indicate that this collaboration has led to a reduction in human rights violations in Afghanistan. However, this study also identifies challenges faced by both organizations in implementing this collaboration, including differences in legal regulations and customs with the Taliban.
