KEBIJAKAN MESIR BERGABUNG DENGAN BRICS TAHUN 2024

Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis kebijakan Mesir untuk bergabung dengan BRICS pada tahun 2024. Keputusan tersebut dilatarbelakangi oleh krisis ekonomi domestik, termasuk inflasi tinggi, penurunan nilai mata uang, serta ketergantungan terhadap pinjaman luar negeri, khususnya dari Internationa Monetary Fund (IMF). Dengan menggunakan pendekatan realisme neoklasik dan konsep kebijakan luar negeri James N. Rosenau, penelitian ini mengeksplorasi faktor internal dan eksternal yang memengaruhi kebijakan Mesir, termasuk dinamika politik domestik dan tekanan ekonomi global. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa variabel individu, pemerintahan, peran, sosial, dan sistemik memliki keterkaitan antara satu sama lain dan berkontribusi secara signifikan dalam keputusan ini. Secara strategis, BRICS menawarkan Mesir kesempatan untuk mendiversifikasi sumber ekonomi, memperkuat posisi geopolitik, dan mengurangi ketergantungan pada kekuatan Barat yang sering memengaruhi kebijakan domestik. Keanggotaan BRICS diharapkan mendukung pertumbuhan ekonomi Mesir melalui akses perdagangan tanpa dominasi dolar AS, diversifikasi mitra dagang, dan investasi di sektor infrastruktur yang sangat diperlukan.
