DIPLOMASI PUBLIK KOREA SELATAN KE INDONESIA PADA TAHUN 2017 – 2022
Abstract
This study explores the role of the K-pop group Blackpink in South Korea's public diplomacy, focusing on its impact on the country’s international image and its economic effects. As the Korean Wave (Hallyu) propels South Korea into the global spotlight, Blackpink has become a key instrument in enhancing the nation’s cultural diplomacy. By participating in international campaigns, such as the Korea Tourism Organization’s promotional efforts and various global events, Blackpink has effectively bridged cultural gaps and attracted international tourism. The group’s influence extends to increasing South Korea’s global cultural footprint and boosting economic activities through tourism and brand collaborations. This research highlights how Blackpink contributes to South Korea's soft power and reinforces its position in the global cultural and economic landscape.
