KEPENTINGAN NASIONAL INDONESIA DENGAN CHINA DALAM MENYEPAKATI KERJA SAMA REGIONAL COMPREHENSIVE ECONOMIC PARTNERSHIP (RCEP) TAHUN 2020

Abstract

In the background, there is a desire to strengthen its economic position on the global stage. The purpose of this research is to know, analyze, and describe how Indonesia strengthens its economy by agreeing to this RCEP cooperation. Data collection techniques through literature study with data analysis summarizing the data obtained, organizing the data obtained, presenting the data and drawing conclusions. This RCEP. Economy. Research results show that Indonesia's national interests in RCEP include increasing market access for exported products, increasing foreign direct investment, and strengthening economic and technological cooperation. In addition, RCEP is also expected to strengthen Indonesia's position in the global supply chain ​​and support sustainable economic growth. Cooperation with China in RCEP provides strategic opportunities for Indonesia to expand the export market, particularly in the manufacturing and agriculture sector. China as a main trading partner provides a significant impact on Indonesia's economic growth. However, Indonesia is also facing challenges in facing competition for imported products and the need to increase the competitiveness of the domestic industry. This research concludes that Indonesia's participation in RCEP with China is a strategic step to achieve wider national interests in the context of international trade and economic development. Therefore, comprehensive policies and good coordination between government, private sector and other stakeholders are required to maximize the benefits of RCEP cooperation.
