Abstract
This research discusses Indonesia's role in international cooperation against terrorism through the Global Counterterrorism Forum (GCTF) in 2023-2024. As one of the countries actively involved in counter-terrorism efforts, Indonesia has made significant contributions to this forum, particularly in sharing experiences, building capacity, and formulating effective global policies. The understanding of the phenomena in this research will be discussed using the Neorealism Approach, International Security Theory, and the National Interest Concept.
This research uses a qualitative method with an exploratory descriptive approach to understand the dynamics of Indonesia's role in the GCTF. Data collection was conducted through literature review using various secondary sources, such as books, journals, scientific articles, newspapers, and other reliable sources, including official websites. The data analysis technique used in this research refers to the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of this research are expected to provide a deeper understanding of Indonesia's role in international cooperation with the GCTF, and to understand Indonesia's efforts in maintaining national interests and achieving security stability with the GCTF in combating global terrorism threats.
