KERJASAMA INDUSTRI PERTAHANAN INDONESIA – TURKI DALAM PENGADAAN ALUTSISTA 2018-2022
Abstract
The defense industry cooperation between Indonesia and Turkey, particularly in the procurement of defense equipment (Alutsista) from 2018 to 2022, has become a significant aspect of their bilateral relations. This collaboration is driven by Indonesia's need to modernize and strengthen its defense posture, while Turkey seeks to expand its defense industry and enhance its international partnerships. The cooperation has included the transfer of technology, joint production, and research and development in various defense sectors, such as land, air, and naval systems. This strategic partnership has allowed Indonesia to reduce its dependency on foreign suppliers, increase self-reliance in defense technology, and improve its military capabilities. At the same time, Turkey has benefited from increased market access for its defense products and greater geopolitical influence. This paper examines the key aspects of the defense industry cooperation between the two countries, focusing on the procurement agreements, the role of technology transfer, and the broader implications for both nations' defense strategies and economic growth.
