This study employs a SWOT analysis to evaluate Indonesia's strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats in revitalizing the Spice Route. Findings highlight Indonesia’s rich spice heritage, government initiatives such as Indonesia Spice Up the World, and efforts to gain UNESCO recognition as key strengths. However, challenges include low productivity, inconsistent quality control, and competition from other spice-exporting nations. Opportunities lie in increasing global demand for sustainable spices and enhanced digital trade, while threats include regulatory barriers and fragmented stakeholder coordination. To maximize the Spice Route's potential, Indonesia must integrate cultural diplomacy, sustainable trade, and tourism strategies. This research contributes to discussions on nation branding, public diplomacy, and economic competitiveness, providing insights for policymakers and industry stakeholders.
2025-06-30T13:26:07+07:00##submission.copyrightStatement##http://ejournal.fisip.unjani.ac.id/index.php/jurnal-dinamika-global/article/view/3366KEMELUT POLITIK THAILAND TAHUN 2023: ANTIKLIMAKS JALAN PERUBAHAN MENUJU DEMOKRASI2025-07-01T12:46:05+07:00Novriest Umbu Walangara Naunovriest.umbu@uksw.edu
Move Forward, a progressive party secure a historic win in the 2023 Thailand general election and nominated Pita Limjaroenrat as the new Prime Minister. Despite not being a signatory to the 1951 Refugee Convention and the 1967 Protocol, Indonesia has become a significant transit country for refugees, with approximately 12,000 displaced persons currently seeking protection within its borders. Employing a qualitative approach and thematic analysis through the theoretical lens of humanitarian diplomacy, this research identifies key political factors influencing refugee management policies in Indonesia. The findings reveal that security concerns, economic considerations, public sentiment, and interest group dynamics significantly shape Indonesia's approach to refugee management. The study demonstrates how Indonesia's humanitarian diplomacy is frequently constrained by competing domestic political discourses and contested protection practices. The research contributes to the literature by analyzing local diplomatic approaches developed by regional governments to navigate these tensions. The study concludes that addressing this dilemma requires systemic transformation through stronger political commitment and a holistic, sustainable approach that harmonizes regulations with international protection standards while acknowledging legitimate domestic concerns.

Keywords: refugees, humanitarian diplomacy, domestic politics, national security, refugee management policy, Indonesia
2025-06-30T13:40:22+07:00##submission.copyrightStatement##http://ejournal.fisip.unjani.ac.id/index.php/jurnal-dinamika-global/article/view/3483PERAN DRONE MILITER DALAM MENGUBAH STRATEGI PERANG MODERN: STUDI KASUS PERANG UKRAINA-RUSIA DAN PERANG ARMENIA-AZERBAIJAN2025-07-01T12:46:03+07:00Muhammad Syaroni Rofiimuhammadsyaroni@ui.ac.id
Drones have transformed into a critical variable in modern warfare. As a weapon, drones possess the capability to support the success of military operations and even win wars, whether for offensive or defensive purposes. Using a qualitative research method, this study seeks to explain the role of drones in modern battlefields by examining the case studies of the Azerbaijan-Armenia War in 2020 and the Russia-Ukraine War from 2022 to 2024. These cases illustrate how drones have played a key role in reconnaissance and attacks. This study also concludes that amidst the ongoing military conflicts, drones have sparked debates among state leaders and experts regarding their excessive use, as drones are often misused, violating the concept of just war. The United States has implemented highly restrictive policies toward Chinese technology accomplishments. In retaliation, China has responded to US sanctions and limited its access to advanced semiconductors by emphasizing independence and making investments in its own semiconductor manufacturing sector. With both countries imposing tariffs and restrictions on technology companies, the dispute has escalated into a full-fledged technology war. A series of policies have pushed the two countries further apart and towards a technology war. By using power analysis as the main conceptual framework, this research focuses on examining why technology is a fundamental aspect of the US-China great power rivalry. As a concept of power growth, technology accomplishment should not only be positioned as a medium to increase economic interests but also a tool to improve military capabilities and national security. The shifting from technological competition to technological supremacy for the purpose of political domination and influence is inevitable. Thus, technological war and power struggle also have the potential consequences of prolonged conflict and could transform the global economic and political landscape.

Key words: Technological War, Great Power Politics, US-China Rivarly
2025-06-30T13:55:43+07:00##submission.copyrightStatement##http://ejournal.fisip.unjani.ac.id/index.php/jurnal-dinamika-global/article/view/3647KEPENTINGAN AMERIKA SERIKAT TERHADAP UKRAINA (STUDI KASUS: PERSETUJUAN KONTRAK MINERAL AS-UKRAINA)2025-07-01T12:46:02+07:00Anggun Dwi Panoramacoklitti@gmail.com
This study aims to examine how international media frames news about the Mandalika MotoGP using the theoretical approach of gatekeeping, politics of representation, and nation branding. Using qualitative methods and content analysis of news from five countries with large MotoGP fan bases (UK, Italy, Spain, Germany, and the US), this study found that Mandalika MotoGP news was more dominated by dualistic representations: on the one hand Indonesia was considered exotic and interesting, but on the other hand it was doubtful in terms of readiness and professionalism. However, the neutrality of the WTO in these cases is an aspect that stands out. The WTO strives not to favor any particular country, but rather adheres to the principles of objectivity and fairness. In resolving the dispute between Brazil and the United States, the WTO uses various mechanisms. One of them is the Dispute Settlement Body (DSB), which acts as a forum to resolve disputes between member countries. This process involves stages such as consultations, panels, and appellate bodies. Through this process, the WTO ensures that arguments and evidence from both sides are carefully considered before making a decision. The neutrality of the WTO is reflected in the decisions taken in these cases. While there may be political pressure from member countries, the WTO tries to be unaffected and decide based on the facts and applicable law. This is a very important principle in maintaining the integrity of the international trading system.
2025-06-30T14:37:06+07:00##submission.copyrightStatement##
